About The Position

We are looking for a Director R&D to capture the essence of the company, build it into an executable plan, and lead the people while growing the team and handling capacity. The VP RD will report to CTO, whom is one of the 3 Co-Founders.

We are also growing at an amazing rate every month, with hundreds of new monthly users, and many challenges as well.

Responsibilities

  • Leading an R&D group, currently of 8 developers, growing to about 20 developers, or more with time.
  • Managing, mentoring and developing the team – retain top talent, maintain the unique organizational culture, implement work methodologies and interfaces.
  • Bring best practices from other work environments, and a fresh point of view.
  • Lead development according to customer requirements set, budget and timeline


Requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • At least 10 years' experience in development of a product.
  • Having built and managed a development team of at least 6-10 people, through growth stages.
  • Successful track record in managing throughout growth and complex projects.
  • Strong leadership and innovative approach, with dynamic management style. Seeing the 'big picture' while knowing to dive into details and be hands on.
  • Having previously worked in a start-up environment, with ability to work in an international and diverse environment.
  • Having developed across a product web based company, using Open Source.
  • SAAD and/or SAAS (Software as a Download, and/or Software as a Service).
  • BSC in Software Engineering. Other academic degrees are an advantage.
